What's the issue with gum disease?

Gum disease can lead to swollen, bleeding gums that are painful to brush and eat and may also cause bad breath.

If left untreated, gum disease can damage the bone supporting your teeth, causing it to weaken and break down. This can result in loose teeth that may eventually fall out.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Pain and Sensitivity

Many patients find airflow treatment to be comfortable and painless, even those with sensitive teeth. The water is pre-warmed to minimise sensitivity.

How much does it cost?

All of our membership plans include airflow therapy. Depending on the number of appointments you need in a year will determine which membership plan is best for you.

Can you tell me more about membership?

Benefits including a 20% discount on our general treatments and a 10% discount on our dental implants and clear Aligners.

How often should I have it done?

This depends on individual circumstances and how susceptible you are to gum disease. For most patients, twice a year is recommended (every 6 months).

This can be increased to 4 times a year or 6 times a year depending on the overall condition of your mouth, your general health and if there is a family history of gum disease.

You don’t have to see our dentist

New legislation from the General Dental Council means you can go straight to a dental hygienist for professional teeth cleaning and advice on your dental health.

That means we can welcome people who only want to see our dental hygienist/therapist without them having to register with the dentist.

If you are not a member, the cost is £165.00 for a 45-minute airflow appointment. Direct Access.
