Airflow Therapy

Airflow Therapy

Health of your gums is the foundation to your oral health. Airflow Therapy is the latest technology in removing bacteria from your teeth and your gums ensuring they last a lifetime along with preventing other medical conditions too.

What is Airflow Therapy?

Airflow Therapy is the latest technology for cleaning your teeth and scientifically proven to be more effective than the traditional “scale and polish”.

If uses a jet of warm water and a fine powder to remove plaque and bacteria from around your teeth and gums. Our patients find this method much more comfortable than the traditional “scale and polish” and find their teeth look and feel great afterwards.

What’s the problem with Gum Disease?

Gum disease can cause your gums to bleed and swell making them painful to touch and can also give you bad breath.

If allowed to continue the bone supporting your teeth will loosen and dissolve away making your teeth loose and eventually drop out.

Is it painful?

No. As it uses warm water you do not expericece any sensitivity which is common with the traditional “scale and polish”.

Clean

Airflow Therapy removes bacteria from your mouth leaving your mouth feel clean.

Quick

Each appointment is a minimum of 30 minutes.

Non-painful

Airflow uses warm water so you do not experience any sensitivity.

How often should I have it done?

This depends on individual circumstances and how susceptible you are to gum disease. For most patients twice a year is recommend (every 6 months).

This can be increased to 4 times a year or 6 times a year depending on the overall condition of your mouth, your general health and if there is a family history of gum disease.

How much does it cost?

All of our membership plans include Airflow Therapy. Depending on the number of appointments you need a year will determine which membership plan is best for you.

If you are not a member the cost is £85 for each 30 minute appointment.

Is it painful?

No. As it uses warm water you do not experience any sensitivity which is common with the traditional “scale and polish”.

My Dentist doesn't offer this. Can I come to you for this?

Yes you can. You can either pay directly for each appointment, or join one of our membership plans for Airflow Therapy only.

Please speak to a member of our team for more information on this.

What are the alternative options?

Traditional “scale and polish”. This uses a high frequency ultrasonic scaler to physically remove tarter from your teeth by using scarping action. Cold water is also needed to prevent the tip from getting warm which can be uncomfortable if you suffer from sensitivity.
