Dermal fillers come in a variety of thicknesses so they can be targeted to specific areas of the face and be tailored to the individual. For example, deep nasolabial lines (nose to mouth) may need a thick particle filler as this will need to be applied deeper into the layers of the dermis (skin), but for fine lines around the mouth or eyes, a very fine particle filler would be best as this is applied more superficially.
