One Month Back – focused entirely on you

To our Dear and Valued patients,

We hope that you, your families and loved ones remain safe and well. We are pleased to announce that we have successfully come to the end of our first month back after the lockdown. Given the fact that over half of dentists in England remain closed makes this a truly massive achievement.

It has been a difficult road to get here which could not be achieved without a colossal team effort and underpins the determination and drive we have as a team to help our patients face-to-face. We could not be more proud of our team who have made this transition so effortless and we applaud them.

Rebekah and Ria have done a fantastic job in booking in patients, and our nursing team led by Kate, have adapted quickly to the new clinical environment, whilst the whole process has been overseen and constantly reviewed by Louise.

We are pleased to report that our new ‘patient journey’ is working seamlessly and since reopening we have successfully treated all the patients that have suffered with pain and problems during lockdown, thanks to the hard work of our dentists Sinem and Mariam.

Our excellent therapists Shani and Madeline, have also been working hard treating patients who suffer from gum disease helping to stabilise their conditions once again. This week we have moved onto restarting treatment on patients who were in the ‘middle’ of treatment when the lockdown came, and over the next couple of weeks will be resuming treatment on patients who are undergoing Invisalign and brace treatment.

We are confident we will be able to resume care for our stable patients this month. In line with this we will be opening from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays to increase our availability for routine care appointments. Naturally, we will be starting with those patients that are ‘over-due’ their health check and hygiene appointments. Please bear with us, and we promise we will get to you.

In light of how the world has changed due to COVID-19, businesses have been encouraged to alter working patterns to reduce ‘foot fall’ and person-to-person contact. Naturally, we have therefore looked even closer at the patient journey, to see how we can make the system even more efficient and seamless for you as a patient.

As a result we have decided to once again combine your health check and hygiene appointments into one. This will mean you will have both services carried out on the same appointment rather than two separate appointments.

This will save you time by reducing the number of times you need to visit the Practice, and make it easier for you to schedule, whilst receiving the same care and attention you have been used to. Shani and Madeline are expectational therapists and have been trained by my wife and I personally, and will be carrying out this service.

If a problem or issue has been identified by them, you will be booked in with the appropriate clinician for your treatment. We have now run this new system for the last couple of weeks and the feedback from it has been excellent, and been welcomed by patients.  

Please view the patient journey video on our home page again. This will help you to understand what to do when you attend for your next appointment with us. We are continually working on this to make your visits with us as ‘contactless’ as possible.
