To our and dear valued patients,
It is with great pleasure to report that we have now fully caught up with all the appointments we had to cancel
It is with great pleasure to report that we have now fully caught up with all the appointments we had to cancel during lockdown along with those patients that were overdue an appointment.
Our dedication and commitment to your oral health and well-being, has meant that we are one of very few dental Practices that are fully operational once again and in a position to provide our full range of services from health checks and hygiene treatments, Invisalign, Dental implants and all of our other services, in a safe and caring environment.
The dedication, commitment and hard work of our fabulous team has been instrumental to this
This means we are now back up to date with appointments for the majority of our patients. As you can imagine this has been a colossal team effort given the fact we were forced to close for almost 3 months during the ‘lockdown’.
The dedication, commitment and hard work of our fabulous team has been instrumental to this, along with their willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
We would like to also thank you again for your patience, loyalty and understanding during this difficult time. If you need an appointment, we would like to welcome you to please CALL US and we will book you in!
We would also like to take this opportunity to give a big DCP Cheer to our therapists Maddy and Shani, who have worked tirelessly since we reopened. Over the years the traditional model for delivering dentistry, with the assumption that a patient will “belong” to one dentist for the lifetime of their relationship with a practice, and that “one” dentist will provide all the treatment needed for that patient, has been evolving.
We now fully understand that a single dentist is unlikely to be able to provide the full range of dental services available to the highest standard possible, due to different levels of experience, post graduate training and knowledge across the different services. We prefer to think of you as a member of the practice, enabling you to take advantage of all the services we offer and the clinicians who work as part of our team.
Dental therapists have helped to fill the inherently large gap between a hygienist and a dentist
This evolution has significantly moved forwards with the introduction of dental therapists and in light of how the world has changed due to COVID-19. Dental therapists have helped to fill the inherently large gap between a hygienist and a dentist.
They are highly trained and skilled clinicians, who can perform all the services of a hygienist, plus carry out dental health checks, oral cancer screening, diagnose and detect problems, take x-rays, carry out small fillings, perform tooth whitening, extract teeth on children and much more.
This will mean you will have both services carried out on the same appointment rather than two separate appointments
This has allowed us to once again combine your health check and hygiene appointments into one. This will mean you will have both services carried out on the same appointment rather than two separate appointments. This will save you time by reducing the number of times you need to visit the Practice, and make it easier for you to schedule, whilst receiving the same care and attention you have been used to.
This also allows our dentists to focus on complex dental treatments resulting in a shorter wait time for these specialised services. As a reminder of our areas of expertise: My wife (Dr Anand) focuses on Invisalign and overseeing the general well-being of our patients, Sinem Dayanik focuses on complex white fillings, root canal treatment and crowns, Marwa Maarouf focuses on oral surgery and crowns, Phil Morris on creating beautiful bespoke dentures and I myself are focused on dental implants and advanced oral surgery.
We also have Professor Khambay who provides fixed braces for adults and children and Graham James, who is a maxilo-facial surgeon, and supports me in the more complex and challenging implant cases. Full profiles of all our clinicians can be found on our website by using the following link:
Hopefully, you can see how this new model of working, ensures you receive the highest level of care and treatment possible by seeing the appropriate clinician for your treatment, along with reducing your wait times for these services.
By being forward thinking and proactive as a Practice we have now run this new system for the last 3 months and the feedback from it has been excellent, and been welcomed by our members. It has also allowed us to keep our membership fees the same and absorb the cost of the enhanced PPE, despite reduced surgery space, increased working hours and increased running costs with working in the ‘new’ world.
Attached to this newsletter is the video again of our ‘new patient journey’. This will help you to understand what to do when you attend for your next appointment with us. We are continually working on this to make your visits with us as ‘contactless’ as possible.
Thank you again for your continued understanding, support, encouragement, loyalty and patience during this time
Thank you again for your continued understanding, support, encouragement, loyalty and patience during this time. We sincerely hope you and your families remain safe and well and we look forward to seeing you again soon for face-to-face care. In the meantime please stay safe!
