6 Weeks Back & Gearing Up Nicely

To our friends and family of Sutton Dental & Implant Clinic,
 
Looking back at what has been achieved in only 6 weeks since we have reopened is both staggering and unbelievable. Having the right processes and plan in place has allowed this to happen, along with the dedication, commitment and determination to help from all the team at Sutton Dental & Implant Clinic has been instrumental to this.

We are also pleased to report that we have the FULL TEAM back in Practice, which has also allowed us to extend our working hours to 9am to 7pm every weekday, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays.

We have also not been complacent since we have reopened, and have continued to develop our processes for infection control

We have also not been complacent since we have reopened, and have continued to develop our processes for infection control and protection, and ensure this is done to the highest standards at all times. We continue to invest in products and services to enhance this.

Our largest recent investment, is in commercial air extraction systems, that allow us to exhaust all the air from the room at the end of the appointment, allowing the room to be filled with fresh and clean air before our next patient enters the room.

This will ensure the treatment room is completely ‘clean’ before you enter significantly reducing the risk of cross-infection. This again is a ‘unique feature’ to Sutton Dental & Implant Clinic, as other practices have not invested or implemented this.

Since reopening, we have successfully treated all of the patients that had a problem doing the lockdown, and are making good progress in completing treatments on patients that were mid-way through treatment when the lockdown came, including those patients having Implant and Invisalign treatments.

Our therapists, Shani and Maddy are also doing an excellent job in treating patients with gum disease and seeing patients for examinations and hygiene treatments on those patients we had to cancel during that time. We are proud to say we have also managed to resume a full and comprehensive hygiene service, including the use of the AirFlow system, which I know a lot of you love!

If we haven’t called you yet, and you had an appointment or you were mid-way through treatment during the lockdown, please call us and we will book you in! With the rate of progress we have made, we are confident we will able to resume routine care for all our members from August.

You will note from previous newsletters we have decided to once again combine your health check and hygiene appointments into one. This will mean you will have both services carried out on the same appointment rather than two separate appointments.

This will save you time by reducing the number of times you need to visit the Practice, and make it easier for you to schedule, whilst receiving the same care and attention you have been used to. Shani and Maddy are exceptional therapists and have been trained by my wife and I personally, and will be carrying out this service.

We have now run this new system since we have reopened and the feedback from it has been excellent, and been welcomed by patients.  

None of this could have been achieved without the loyalty, commitment and support you have shown us during this very difficult time. This has given us great determination to help and has allowed us to ‘bounce-back’ so quickly, and has also provided us with a great platform to continue to drive our cause forwards of improving the health and wellbeing of as many people as we can.

Despite reduced surgery space, increased working hours and increased running costs with this ‘new’ way of working, we have decided not to increase our membership fees until 2022 and absorb the cost of the enhanced PPE, by making this an additional benefit to your membership, and as a thank you for your loyalty.

If you visit our home page you will find out new ‘new patient journey’. This will help you to understand what to do when you attend for your next appointment with us. We are continually working on this to make your visits with us as ‘contactless’ as possible.
