8 Weeks Back and Looking to the Future

We hope this newsletter finds you well and you, your families and loved ones remain safe and well. We are pleased to report that in the 8 weeks we have been open since the lockdown we are fully operational again at Sutton Dental & Implant Clinic, providing our full range of services from health checks and hygiene treatments, Invisalign, Dental implants and all of our other services.
As you know this has been a gradual progress, as we had to 100% confident in the safety of our processes and procedures, before we increased what we could provide. This has been a massive achievement and would not have been possible without the dedication, commitment and hard work of our fabulous team.

It is with great pleasure to also report that we have now caught up with all the appointments we had to cancel during lockdown (except on those patients that are still shielding) and now working on those patients who should have been seen in June and July. We are confident to have caught up on this during the month of August, and from September we will be fully up-to-date.

Now that’s things are ‘back on track’ we can start to turn our attention again to the future and continue to develop the Practice to improve the overall patient experience at your visits with us.
At the tale end of 2019, we managed to secure planning permission to build a car park in the rear garden, along with an extension to the rear of the building. Before the lockdown we were in the process of designing this which naturally had to be placed on hold.
We are proud to say the planning and designing of this is now back in progress. The car park will provide us with 8 additional car parking spaces, and allow us to have a dedicated space for wheel chair users. This will ensure you will be able to park at the Practice for each of your visits.
The extension will allow us to extend the patient lounge, and provide a new dedicated access from the car park to the Practice, which will also be fully accessible for wheel chair users. This will also tie in with a complete refurbishment of our current reception area and patient lounge.
The project will be split into 2 phases. We will be starting with the car park as this is the highest need for our patients. We hope this will be designed and completed in the next 3 months, with a view to start the extension in the New Year. The refurbishment will also be complemented with a “rebrand” of the Practice to help us stay modern and current. Look out for more details on this in future newsletters.

This has given us great determination to help and has allowed us to ‘bounce-back’ so quickly, and has also provided us with a great platform to continue to drive our cause forwards of improving the health and wellbeing of as many people as we can.
